Biography

Dr. Laura Fregonese is a clinical specialist in Immunology, Respiratory Medicine and Vaccines, working in the Department of Public Health at the European Medicines Agency (EMA), the drug regulatory body of the European Union (EU). In her current job she leads several internal and international activities on paediatric antibiotics, AMR, and tuberculosis. At EMA she has worked as assessor of pre-clinical development and of clinical paediatric investigation plans for medicines and vaccines targeting tuberculosis since 2010, as well as of an EU-wide initiative on child-friendly formulations of medicines for drug-sensitive TB.
