Biography

Dr. Koura is a Medical Doctor with a Master’s and PhD in Public Health/Epidemiology, with over 15 years of experience in global health. He currently serves as Director of the Tuberculosis Department at the International Union Against Tuberculosis and Lung Disease (The Union), where he leads strategic initiatives to improve TB prevention, detection, and care in low- and middle-income countries. Dr. Kobto manages multidisciplinary teams, builds global partnerships, and drives innovation in TB programming. He is also a faculty member in several courses in France and an associate researcher at UMR MERIT (IRD–Sorbonne University).
