Biography

I am Knox Banda. I currently work as Regional Program Officer with the National TB and Leprosy Elimination Program since 2007, and have vast experience in TB care and prevention. My job mainly entails the provision of technical advice and an oversight role in the coordination of TB care and prevention services in seven districts in the southern region of Malawi.
Academically, I have a Diploma in Clinical Medicine and a Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Management obtained from Malawi College of Health Sciences and University of Malawi, Chancellor College in 1998 and 2010, respectively.

Improving childhood TB diagnosis and notification through advanced sample collection technologies intervention: An insight from Malawi

Implementation of ASCT TB intervention by health facilities under routine health services delivery conditions can greatly improve childhood TB diagnosis and case-notification. NTLEP in collaboration with its stakeholders needs to put in place measures on how to sustain and scale up ASCT strategy in Malawi.
