Coach Mpilo: Men supporting men through TB and HIV treatment journeys in South Africa

The CM program demonstrates promise in improving TB and HIV treatment adherence through peer support. Coach and player shared experiences and cultural understanding contribute to program effectiveness. Future improvements should focus on providing emotional support to coaches, enhancing collaboration skills with healthcare staff, and addressing the impact of resource scarcity on treatment adherence. CM impact extends beyond players, positively transforming coaches and potentially influencing community attitudes toward TB/HIV treatment.
