Biography

Dr Karuna D Sagili is an infectious disease researcher with over 18 years of experience in research and advocacy. She has co-authored nearly 60 publications in national and international journals. Her research on TB largely focused on strengthening health systems, operational research capacity building, and systematic reviews alongside advocacy for social protection, stigma mitigation, and community engagement for TB elimination. She worked closely with India’s national TB program to strengthen the ACSM component, contributed to the development of a national strategy to end TB stigma, and coordinated operational research training for TB program professionals. She serves as Vice Chair of The Union’s Ethics Advisory Group.
