Key Impacts

Empowerment of local self-governing bodies to accelerate TB elimination efforts in Kashmir, India

Engaging local self-governing institutions enhances TB elimination efforts by decentralized decision-making, active community participation, and strong sense of ownership, outcomes clearly demonstrated in this initiative. Such approaches warrant greater emphasis in national policy frameworks, especially for hard-to-reach regions.
