Dr. Kajal is a project manager associated with Innovators in health (India), involved in implementation of TB active case finding activities in rural Bihar, India. She is a public health practitioner, committed to improve community well-being with evidence based public health practice and research. Innovators in Health (India) is an organization working in rural India from last 15 years in TB service delivery for vulnerable communities.
To enhance maternal and neonatal health in vulnerable areas, intensive case finding in PW can be integrated with ANC. Educating Healthcare Workers on TB symptoms during pregnancy and conducting early screening can facilitate timely diagnosis and treatment, and encourage institutional delivery. Respect for the women’s choice towards decisions on treatment is crucial for acceptance.
