Justin Wyda is third-year medical student at Brown University’s Warren Alpert Medical School with a strong interest in global health. I'm passionate about expanding healthcare access, addressing health disparities, and working with underserved communities both locally and internationally. I hope to build a career that blends clinical care, public health, and global collaboration.
Social and structural factors—such as household instability, food insecurity, and substance use—may contribute to TB diagnostic delays in adolescents. Younger adolescents may be especially vulnerable to severe disease following delayed care. Adolescent-centered interventions that address psychosocial and structural barriers are critical to improving timely diagnosis and limiting transmission.
