Key Impacts
Clinical profile and outcomes of children with tuberculous meningitis at Kenyatta National Hospital: A six-year retrospective study
TBM affects mostly children <5 years with high rates of late diagnosis. The mortality rate (33%) is higher than reported studies from other regions. Our findings show the urgent need for earlier diagnosis and improved management protocols for pediatric TBM in resource-limited settings to reduce devastating consequences of this disease.
