Has experience in Laboratory System strengthening having worked in the field for now approximately 15 years with different organizations supporting the government agenda on matters of health. Currently working with Amref Health Africa, Kenya, implementing Global Fund programs in the country (Kenya) more so on the component of Resilient Sustainable Systems for Health (RSSH) where Laboratory System Strengthening is anchored. Also supports implementation of community TB activities. These interventions are implemented closely with the Ministry of Health, Kenya as anchored in the health agenda of the country

Key Impacts

Following TB testing: Safe disposal of molecular testing waste in Kenya

Upgrading incinerators to achieve high temperatures >1000°C with proper retention time and establishing a functional waste referral system enabled safe disposal of over 2,000 kg of hazardous molecular waste in 19 counties. This approach proves effective and scalable, with potential for broader adoption to strengthen diagnostic waste management across Kenya.
