Job van Rest is a Senior Digital Health Advisor at the KNCV Tuberculosis Foundation in The Hague, Netherlands. In his role, he focuses on leveraging digital health solutions, including the development of AI-powered chatbots, to improve tuberculosis (TB) care and treatment adherence. Overcoming language barriers and stigma in communication on TB: Using artificial intelligence (AI) for person-centred TB information for people from migrant populations

The use of an AI-enabled chatbot is perceived as an appropriate medium to provide information on TB. However, several components needs to be improved upon. As of early 2025, we are making significant improvements to the knowledge base of the chatbot and aim for deployment by the end of 2025.
