Biography
Dr. Campbell is Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at Boston University Chobanian & Avedisian School of Medicine. His research focuses on TB in children and families, including investigations in household dynamics that lead to pediatric TB. His research also includes investigation of TB infection detection using administrative clinical databases in low-burden settings.
Key Impacts
A novel bioinformatics household linkage technique reveals populations at high risk for TB infection within a multi-state US community health network
We adapted a novel linkage technique to characterize household TB infection clustering within a multi-state US community health organization network. We found that testing parents and partners of individuals with TB infection may be a high-yield strategy to close TB infection detection gaps in low-burden settings.
