Biography
Mr. Jahangeer Alam, is a TB champion, works with Humana People to People India and has played a defining role in helping roll out a high impact interventions model to reach the urban unreached homeless and migratory people in Delhi, as well as in other places across India. Currently, he is raising the fund for more TB initiatives to support the urban marginalised populations in India.

Lessons learnt in the TB projects for the unhoused people of Delhi, India between 2017-2025 - Experiences of Humana People to People India
The HPPI-led projects had displayed that we can optimize TB services for urban unhoused people with community-friendly and convenient outreach programs, high-quality screening, dynamic facilitation of service-utilization at the NTEP, need-based patient and family-centred care, and active engagement of community-members and multiple stakeholders.

Addressing TB diagnostic delays in urban marginalised and unhoused populations of Delhi, India in project LEAD (Leveraging, Engaging, and Advocating to Disrupt TB Transmission)
The targeted approaches of LEAD showcased, close support to TB presumptive cases, multi-partner collaboration, and community stakeholder engagement significantly improved prompt TB diagnosis and reduced diagnostic delays in the targeted populations in Delhi. This approach was appreciated by the state and central level NTEP and encouraged replication in other states.Table:
