Leaving no one behind: Targeted TB case finding in correctional facilities in Niger State, Nigeria

This targeted intervention demonstrated the effectiveness of active TB case finding in congregate settings. Strengthened collaboration with correctional services, consistent screening at entry points, and improved diagnostics were key to success. Introducing the use of portable digital X-rays (PDX) procured by the NTBLCP with Global Fund support for screening will improve the yield. Expanding this model nationally could close TB detection gaps in high-risk, underserved populations.
