Bridging the gap in drug-sensitive TB treatment initiation in Indonesia: Insights from a national assessment and pathways for public-private collaboration

Strengthening referral systems, standardizing diagnostics, and enhancing private-sector engagement through policy mandates (e.g., MoUs, JKN incentives) are vital. Addressing socio-economic barriers, improving data synchronization, and expanding patient-centered care are recommended. Prioritizing these interventions will bridge enrollment gaps, align with Indonesia’s TB elimination targets, and serve as a model for high-burden settings globally.
