Biography

Heidi van Deventer is a medical doctor with a master’s degree in clinical epidemiology. She is currently working as a research clinician at the Desmond Tutu TB Centre, Stellenbosch University. She is involved in all aspects of the research process, including enrolling participants, clinical care of participants, collecting data, data cleaning, analysis and the writing up of results.

The performance of paediatric adapted CAD4TBv7 was similar between photographs of digital CXRs and the original digital CXRs, supporting its potential for point-of-care use. Further model training is expected to optimise performance.
