Approximately one-fifth of PLHIV had PTLD. Longer ART duration and employment were positively associated with PTLD, whereas higher BMI was negatively associated with PTLD. In contrast, abnormal spirometry without prior TB was associated with higher viral load, underweight status, and employment. These findings suggest that correlates of post-TB and non-TB-related lung abnormalities may differ in PLHIV, indicating the value of larger longitudinal studies to better clarify underlying mechanisms for each.
