Key Impacts

Heterogeneity in M. TB immunoreactivity in a community-based survey of young children in Blantyre, Malawi

Immunoreactivity surveillance in 1-4-year-olds using clinic-based convenience sampling provided valuable epidemiological insights in this Southern African urban setting. It has potential to identify children who may benefit from TB preventive therapy, and to allow prioritisation of groups and neighbourhoods for targeted public health intervention.
