Biography

Dr. Pacifique Hagenimana is a Medical Doctor with a Master’s in Public Health/Global Health and a Postgraduate Diploma in Pediatric Nutrition from Boston University. He has over a decade of experience in both clinical and public health working with government institutions, local and international NGOs in Reproductive Health, Maternal, Newborn, Child and Adolescent Health, Non-communicable Diseases, Health System Strengthening and Nutrition. He held different leadership roles from Medical officer to Director of Clinical services and from Senior Health Promotion Officer to the Director of NCD a role he is running currently at PIH/IMB.

Respiratory symptoms in mineworkers with silicosis in Rwandan

Respiratory symptoms are common amongst mineworkers with silicosis. The presence of fibrosis is associated with an increased burden of symptoms. Despite the burden of symptoms, few patients reported using inhaled medications.
