Biography
Dr. Frauke Uekermann is the Director of Vaccine Markets at the Clinton Health Access Initiative (CHAI). She leads CHAI’s market-shaping and innovative finance work to improve access to and affordability of vaccines in low- and middle-income countries in close collaboration with partners in the Gavi Alliance, manufacturers, and the broader vaccine and financing ecosystem. Under her leadership, CHAI—in collaboration with Gavi and MMGH—has recently developed a global demand forecast for novel TB vaccines targeting adults and adolescents which is being adopted by the WHO TB Vaccine Accelerator. Previously, Dr Frauke has worked at The Boston Consulting Group focusing on market-based approaches at the humanitarian—development nexus. She holds a PhD in behavioural economics from the University of St Gallen.
