Biography

Franziska Held, MSc, is a senior consultant advising Swiss healthcare institutions at strategic and operational levels, applying evidence-based methodologies. She holds a Master's in Global Health from Maastricht University and a Bachelor's in Business Administration with a minor in Sports Science from the University of Bern. In both degrees, her academic focus was on innovation and technology research. Her Master’s thesis and current research examine the feasibility and acceptability of pediatric tuberculosis diagnostics in high-burden settings, based on qualitative work conducted in Uganda in 2024.

Key Impacts

End-user perspectives on pediatric TB diagnostic processes in Uganda and Peru: A qualitative study

Findings were consistent across participant groups and countries. This study may help inform the implementation of new diagnostics by exploring acceptability, feasibility, and equity from an end-user perspective, while also pointing to the need for further research on pediatric TB barriers and facilitators in community-level settings.
