Biography

Farhana Nishat Seheli is a Public Health Professional with versatile experience in emergency preparedness, including COVID-19 mitigation, outbreak control, surveillance, primary healthcare awareness, and health promotion. She holds a Master of Public Health from University of Malaya, Malaysia. Her research interests include communicable and non-communicable diseases, vaccination, mental health, and healthcare policy and management. Currently, she serves as Lead in the TB Control Project under BRAC Health Program. She embraces challenging public health projects, driven by a strong commitment to making meaningful contributions to society.

Reaching the unreached: Programmatic innovations for identification of TB among underserved populations in Bangladesh

BRAC’s innovative, community-based approaches have improved access to TB services for underserved groups, promoting early diagnosis and equitable care. These models demonstrate the effectiveness of tailored, inclusive service delivery in strengthening national TB control efforts. Sustained investment and scale-up of such inclusive, people-centered approaches are vital to achieving Bangladesh’s End TB targets and leaving no one behind.
