Biography

Dr. Ethel D. Weld is an assistant professor of medicine at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. Her area of expertise is clinical pharmacology. Dr. Weld received her B.A. from New York University and earned her M.D. from the University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine/Biological Sciences. She completed a fellowship in clinical pharmacology and infectious diseases at Johns Hopkins.

IMPAACT 2034: Phase 1 study of the pharmacokinetics (PK), safety/tolerability and acceptability of a single dose of pretomanid in female children with rifampicin-resistant TB

The interim PK data provided sufficient power to select doses for a future MD study. A single dose of pretomanid was safe and tolerated in female children.
