TB notifications by community-based volunteers in communities serviced by mission health facilities in Zambia: Translating WHO guidance into practice
A decentralized, community-based approach led by CBVs is instrumental in improving early TB detection in underserved populations. This strategy has increased TB notifications by 20% in CHAZ-supported CHIs, aligning with WHO guidance. Well-trained, motivated, and properly equipped CBVs are essential for effectively implementing and expanding community-based TB activities and referrals.
