Biography

Professor Erlina Burhan is a pulmonologist and infectious disease consultant at Persahabatan Hospital, Jakarta, specializing in TB diagnosis and drug-resistant TB management. She serves on the Board of Directors of the International Union Against Tuberculosis and Lung Disease and collaborates with the American Thoracic Society as the country director for the MECOR program. Professor Burhan began her TB research in Namibia and completed a PhD on TB drug plasma concentrations and treatment response. She has received grants from the Wellcome Trust for avian influenza research and has led national and international clinical trials and multicenter studies, securing government research funding.
