Biography

Enkhtsetseg is a dedicated lab doctor at the National TB Reference Laboratory, National Center for Communicable Diseases (NCCD) in Mongolia. With a strong background in molecular biology and laboratory diagnostics, she specializes in tuberculosis (TB) detection and management. Enkhtsetseg has been actively involved in TB diagnostic testing, and the development of innovative approaches to laboratory diagnostics within the country.

TB infection by age groups in Mongolia

This study identified a TB infection prevalence of 33.4%. Age was significantly associated with higher TB infection rates, whereas gender was not a determining factor, indicating the decrease of active transmission in young ages and shift to a situation where TB from TB infection is predominant.
