Key Impacts
TB in an urban slum: Collecting community stories to improve awareness and screening of TB in the Philippines
The Story of Change methodology enabled understanding of firsthand community members experiences which contributed to the development of participatory, culturally relevant HP and community engagement. Community-driven methods in overcoming barriers to TB prevention and care are important. Expanded use of storytelling can enhance TB-related communication via contextualised, relatable health messages and improve TB screening uptake and reduce stigmatization.
