Biography

She is a pediatrician with focus on infection disease, with a Master’s in Public Health and a PhD candidate in Public Health – Epidemiology. She is currently working as the clinical coordinator within the Decide TB project and Intègres-TB project, in which she is involved in the capacity building of the healthcare providers for the use of the WHO-recommended TDAs at lower level of healthcare. Within Decide TB project, she is in charge of the development of the training materials, training sessions on TDAs and CXR reading for the healthcare providers and the coordination of the mentoring program.

Clinical mentoring to support the use of treatment decision algorithms for child TB diagnosis within a programmatic pilot in Mozambique and Zambia

Clinical mentoring onsite visits following training are important to assess practices and propose corrective actions to reinforce capacities of HCPs to use TDAs at low level of health care. Vital signs and nutritional status assessment which are crucial for identifying TB presumptive children needed most of the support.
