Enhancement of village midwife contribution to increase coverage of TB preventive treatment (TPT) in 3 selected districts in Sumatera Utara Province, Indonesia

Involvement of midwives in the initiation of TPT has been demonstrated to yield a substantial increase in number of individuals who started TPT. It increased TBI screening and testing, recording and reporting in national system and subsequently assist those eligible to initiate TPT until completion. The potential for increasing the number of initiations is significant, contingent upon the timely distribution of logistics by government.
