Biography

Dr. Elizabeth Tabitha Abbew is a Ghanaian physician and PhD candidate at the University of Antwerp and the Institute of Tropical Medicine, Belgium. With over 11 years of experience in TB care, she works with Ghana’s National TB Program, focusing on drug-resistant TB. Her doctoral research explores non-tuberculous mycobacterial pulmonary disease (NTM-PD) and TB/NTM coinfection. Her key interests include TB coinfections, post-TB lung disease, and DR-TB. Dr. Abbew brings both clinical and research insights to advancing TB care and control in high-burden settings.
