People-centred care for culturally diverse people with drug-resistant TB in Norway: Healthcare strategies and challenges

Key strategies include effective communication to foster mutual understanding, structural interventions to address inconsistencies in care, and various forms of support, including peer support. Recognizing the impact of drug-resistant tuberculosis and an immigrant background on patients' overall well-being is essential. Barriers include poor communication, adverse events, and limited access to psychological care. Under Norwegian law, patients have the right to an interpreter, and this study reinforces the importance of this provision.
