Biography

Dwi Lestari is a program manager at Yayasan Penyintas Tuberculosis Yogyakarta (TERBESAR) with a focus on strengthening the capacity of TB survivors and promoting public education on drug resistant tuberculosis (DR-TB). Dwi leads the development of community based curricula and role playing exercises designed to help healthcare workers better understand the live experiences of people affected by TB. Dwi’s academic background in Sociology and Population Studies informs her community-based approach. She has been actively involved in grassroots initiatives addressing human rights, reproductive health, and advocacy for marginalized communities, including transgender, people living with HIV, people with disabilities and women.
