Biography

Dr. Dustin T. Duncan, ScD is Associate Dean for Health Equity Research and Professor of Epidemiology at Columbia University Mailman School of Public Health. A globally recognised social and spatial epidemiologist, his research focuses on how neighborhood and social environments shape health outcomes, particularly among sexual and gender minorities of colour across the African diaspora. He directs Columbia’s Spatial Epidemiology Lab and co-directs several research initiatives. Widely published and cited, his work is supported by major funders and featured in leading media. Dr. Duncan also leads a Harlem-based foundation and is a recipient of multiple national awards for leadership and mentoring.
