Biography

I am a post-doctoral researcher at the Department of Preventive Medicine, Seoul National University College of Medicine, driven by a passion for using data to improve health systems. With a Ph.D. in Applied Economics from the University of Connecticut, my work centers on health economics and applied econometrics. I’m especially interested in leveraging patient-level and claims data to understand healthcare demand, optimize resource allocation, and promote more efficient, equitable care through robust demand and efficiency analysis.

Measuring the efficiency of TB care in Korea’s public-private mix project: A data envelopment analysis approach

Efficient resource use is critical for strengthening TB care, particularly in low- and middle-income countries scaling public–private approaches. This study highlights how institutional and clinical characteristics shape efficiency, providing actionable evidence to guide resource allocation, performance monitoring, and the optimization of PPM models in Korea and other settings with constrained health system capacity.
