Biography

Dawoon Jeong is currently a PhD student in preventive medicine at Seoul National University. She received M.P.H. in Division of Health Policy and Management from Korea University. She has been conducting tuberculosis big data research linking the Korean Tuberculosis Surveillance System and the National Health Information Databases from 2019 to the present. She has published the subject associated with TB epidemiology in a number of academic journals including International Journal of Infectious Diseases, BMJ open, Journal of Preventive Medicine and Public Health.

Long-term mortality causes of TB in Korea: A population-based matched cohort study

TB survivors face considerably higher mortality risks relative to the general population. Our study provides insights onto key contributing causes of long-term mortality associated with TB and emphasizes the need for integrated management comorbidities of during and post-TB treatment.
