Biography

Daniela Maria Cirillo MD, PhD board-certified clinical microbiologist, Deputy Head, Division of Immunology, Transplants and Infectious Diseases and Head, Emerging Bacterial Pathogens Research unit at IRCCS San Raffaele Scientific Institute in Milan. DMC leads the Milan TB Supranational reference laboratory and WHO collaborating Centre ITA-98 for TB Laboratory Strengthening. Dr. Cirillo’s lab focus on mechanisms of detection of drug resistance in MDROs of nosocomial origin and mycobacteria and application of NGS based technology in clinical microbiology. Awardee of G Middlebrook lifetime award in 2017.
