Biography

Daniel Chemtob, MD, MPH, DEA, is a Public Health Physician, with anthropological education. After funding the Department of Tuberculosis and AIDS at the Israeli Ministry of Health, he led it for almost three decades. He had an extensive experience with WHO and TGF, both globally and at countries levels. He has been a Senior lecturer at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, Israel, and extensively published in the field of Tuberculosis, HIV, Health Policy, migration and the health of minorities. Since 2024, he is a Research Director at INSERM |TransVIHMI U1175, Montpellier, France. He initiated and coordinated the CLIMATE consortium.
