Biography

Dr Chukwuebuka Ugwu is a medical doctor and research scientist at the Zankli Research Centre, Bingham University in Nasarawa State, North-central Nigeria. He has significant experience in disease surveillance, epidemic preparedness and response, and implementation science. For over a decade, he has pioneered innovative case finding approaches for children and adults that have helped Nigeria improve TB treatment coverage. As part of the LIGHT Consortium, his research focuses on collaborating with communities to understand men’s challenges in context, jointly developing and implementing gender-responsive tuberculosis screening approaches designed for men in peri-urban communities.
