Biography

I am an Infectious Disease (ID) resident at the University Teaching Hospital (UTH) in Zambia, with extensive clinical experience in the management of HIV and TB-related conditions. I obtained my bachelor’s degree at Southern Medical University in Guangzhou, China. My research interest is in post-TB lung disease. I was a PI on a research project titled “Clinico-radiologic characteristics of adult patients with post-TB lung disease at UTH in Lusaka, Zambia.” I have also participated in clinical trials, notably VISEND and DATURA, as a study doctor.

Key Impacts

An assessment of abnormal 6 Minute Walk Distance (6MWD) and associated factors in people with post-TB lung disease at a tertiary hospital (Zambia): Cross-sectional study

The abnormal 6MWD among people with PTLD is common among those with low weight and significantly associated with breathlessness, low socioeconomical status and lung fibrosis. Disability related to TB remains a critical challenge and requires further research.
