Biography

Chimwemwe Kwanjo Banda has a PhD in public health from the University of Malawi. She has a background in nursing and midwifery, with close to 20 years work experience in public sector and academia in Malawi. Her interest is in how the growing burden of communicable and non-communicable diseases impact the health of Malawians and the healthcare system, and identifying strategies to minimize these impacts. She currently works as a research assistant at Malawi Liverpool Wellcome program, and successfully led the planning and implementation of the Start4All study. She likes research mentoring juniors taking graduate and post-graduate studies.
