Biography

Author is a public health physician who practices clinical medicine treating people with tuberculosis and does advocacy with the public health system using operational research in the central Indian state of Chhattisgarh. He has trained himself in internal medicine in New Delhi, India and moved to rural India where he practices in a non-government organization called Sangwari-People's association for Equity and Health.

Predictors of HHC investigation not done suggest a need to decentralize it to primary level and improved data-based program monitoring. A statewide capacity building initiative for improving investigation of HHC is the way forward.
