Key Impacts

Application of targeted next-generation sequencing (tNGS) in diagnosis and drug resistance prediction of extrapulmonary TB

tNGS is an effective diagnostic tool, which can be used for rapid diagnosis of EPTB. Its high sensitivity and specificity in the diagnosis of EPTB make it an important supplement to traditional diagnostic methods. The variability of drug resistance diagnosis needs to be further verified and solved in clinical application, and the best application mode of drug resistance diagnosis in EPTB management should be explored.
