Key Impacts
Designing a digital clinical decision support system to strengthen implementation of treatment decision algorithms for childhood TB in Zambia and Mozambique
Developing digital CDSS tools to support TDA implementation in LMICs requires more than technological innovation; it demands stakeholder co-design, adaptation taking into consideration structural barriers such as electricity issues or internet issues and embedded capacity-building strategies adapted to the digital literacy of HCWs. Addressing these factors holistically is crucial for digital CDSS tools to effectively enhance TDA uptake in LMICs.

Factors affecting the performance of chest X-ray artificial intelligence-based computer-aided diagnosis for TB in a primary health centre
AI met the WHO TPP criteria without threshold calibration. The likelihood of incorrect AI results was higher in those with low BMI, past TB history and HIV. More research is needed to corroborate the findings and to investigate if these subgroups will benefit from focused calibration.
