Biography

I am Bipra Bishnu, a Medical Doctor from India. I have done Masters in Public Health from JPGSPH. I have more than 25 years of work experience in various Public Health programs of which the last 20 years were in the National TB Elimination Program.
I have experience of working with Govt. systems, UN agencies and other development partners and have widespread implementation expertise in the areas of health systems strengthening, Multi Sectoral Engagement, TB Elimination, Polio Eradication etc.
My interests are in developing evidence-based programme-specific activities, provide strategic technical assistance that also includes engaging the community, monitor and evaluate.

Building TB diagnostic infrastructure in Uttarakhand State in India: A joint effort by government and corporate social responsibility

Enabling availability and accessibility of NAAT at peripheral centres, strengthened TB diagnostics, reduced delays, and improved access in underserved areas. This collaborative effort has enhanced early detection and created a more efficient and sustainable approach to TB elimination in hard-to-reach regions.

The community-based model, facilitated by TB survivors, significantly improved TB treatment outcomes compared to traditional methods. These findings underscore the potential for scaling up such models and integrating corporate, NGO partnerships and engagement of TB survivors, to enhance TB care and achieve TB Elimination goals.
