Community-driven TB elimination in India: Lessons from VHAI’s multi-state interventions

This highlights the importance of community-driven and decentralized approaches to TB prevention and care. Integration with the health system, local leadership, and trust-building are key to addressing stigma and improving access to services. These successful models from high-burden and marginalized regions can inform state and national strategies as India pushes toward its 2025 TB elimination goal. Sustained investment, cross-sector collaboration, and empowering communities will be vital to end TB.
