Biography

Bikram Pal is a Ph.D. scholar in Applied Mathematics at Visva-Bharati University, West Bengal, specializing in mathematical epidemiology. His research focuses on modeling infectious diseases, especially human tuberculosis. He has completed a dissertation titled “The Impact of Infectious Disease Modeling on Public Health,” studying the role of mathematical models in disease control. He is passionate about applying mathematical tools to improve public health, and is currently a core member of a network of up-and-coming modellers in India, collaborating with India’s TB programme and the World Health Organization.
