Key Impacts
Challenges, progress and opportunities towards TB elimination in New South Wales, Australia
Whilst TB elimination remains out of reach in NSW with increasing migration from high TB incidence countries, significant progress has been made in NSW to enhance patient care and disease control, supported by genomics to track local transmission and data optimisation for better monitoring and reporting. Further opportunities include increased primary care involvement in screening and TB preventive treatment, and better cultural engagement of affected communities.
