Biography

Dr. Bachti Alisjahbana is Chairperson and Research Coordinator at the Health Research Unit, Faculty of Medicine, Universitas Padjadjaran. He is a senior physician and clinical researcher specializing in tuberculosis, HIV, dengue, and primary health care. Dr. Bachti received his medical training at the Faculty of Medicine, Universitas Indonesia, Jakarta (1982 – 1989). He obtained his PhD degree in the University Medical Center Nijmegen (2000-2007) while engaged in a TB ​study with Dutch collaborators. Subsequently, he continues leading many young investigators in projects related to TB, HIV, Dengue and general infectious disease in Medical Faculty UNPAD.
