Biography

Attannon Arnauld Fiogbe is a chest Physician, clinical researcher and specialist in public health (Global Health). He received his specialization diploma in 2015; and earned Master degree in Public Health from University of Bordeaux (France) in 2016. After several years of experience at the national (Benin remote areas) and international level (Belgium and France); he is working since 2018 within the Benin National Tuberculosis Program (NTP) and serve as technical advisor for DR-TB and Childhood TB. He joined the Union in 2020 as a national consultant for CETA project, and currently he is in charge of several research implementation .

Asthma and air pollution in Benin: Symptoms’ frequency and impact of the harmattan period in adolescents from A4A Project study in Cotonou

In Cotonou, air pollution systematically exceeds WHO thresholds for all pollutants. More than 1/3 of asthmatic adolescents had respiratory events, and the harmattan period contributed 2.5 times to the exacerbations’s occurrence. Taking into account information on pollution would help to optimise and personalize asthmatic management in this context.
