Biography

Dr. Askar Yedilbayev is a Regional Advisor on TB and DR-TB at Joint Infectious Diseases Programme at the WHO Regional office for Europe, leading the regional support to countries on planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of all aspects of TB and DR-TB prevention and control. Dr. Yedilbayev is a medical doctor and public health professional with more than 20 years of clinical, programmatic and research experience on TB, DR-TB and comorbidities in high-burden countries and resource-poor settings (WHO European, African and South-East Asian regions).
